Every person has an origin story.
Here’s mine.
Of course, I have put it in bullet points. Like a good consultant.
Formative Years in the Midwest
Raised on a horse farm in South Bend, Indiana by a pathologist and cytotechnologist along with a lot of horses and two whippet dogs
Won multiple national titles in equestrian events
Was one of the “drama kids” in high school and enjoyed being in plays, musicals, and choir
Earned two degrees from the University of Notre Dame and studied abroad in London, United Kingdom
B.S. in Chemical Engineering
B.A. in Psychology
Discovered love of photography and crafting, activities I still enjoy today
Early Career Across the U.S.
Joined GE Aerospace’s Operations Management Leadership Program (a 4-rotation, 2-year program) after college moving to New Mexico, Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio
Moved to GE Energy (now GE Vernova) to work as a sourcing specialist for the Renewable Energy products in Greenville, South Carolina and climbed 85m (~280ft) to the top of a wind turbine
Full details of these roles can be found on my LinkedIn profile
Consulting and Planting Roots in the South
Earned an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, concentrating in Finance and Strategy and studied at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland
Joined Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice to support clients where Strategy and Supply Chain intersect out of the Charlotte, North Carolina office (detail can be found on my LinkedIn profile)
Over 7 years ago, I left Deloitte and “hung my shingle” as an independent consultant, where I help clients improve their organizations without sacrificing their culture. I love the novelty, people, and a good challenge
A Personal Note
I have been greatly supported on this journey by incredible colleagues, friends, family, and the most by Mike, my husband
Around the time I opened my business, we also adopted @lulumcshihtzu, who has since become an accidental nano-influencer on Instagram
In addition to photography and crafts, I am learning to love weight lifting via the 5x5 program, and I enjoy a good cocktail
